High-Throughput Sequencing Core Hosts Penn Wood High School Students

Friday, May 3, 2019

On April 24th, our High-Throughput Sequencing Core welcomed a class from Penn Wood High School to learn about sequencing and DNA extraction. The students participated in activities meant to demonstrate how sequencing works with Legos and how to isolate DNA using strawberries. It was a fantastic event aimed at educating students about careers in science and it gave them hands-on experience to boot!
